Lara Worthington's new beauty brand asks for attention with three objects rather than thirty products. OMMAGE launched on September 22 with a tinted face cream, a lipstick and a brush with a solid aluminium handle. Its renewed relevance comes from the first substantial business profile and the wider availability of detailed product information. The tightly edited opening is also a statement about how a new name can enter a crowded beauty market.

The object makes the first contact

OMMAGE describes First Base as a buildable tinted cream offered in twelve shades. The brand promises hydration, more even-looking tone and a skin-like finish. Lip Coat opens with eight colours and can be worn as a light stain or layered for stronger colour. Buffer Brush has a 57-gram aluminium handle and densely packed vegan bristles.

The dents and rounded, softly compressed shapes of the packaging are more than decoration. The product page says the indentation on the First Base lid guides opening, while the lipstick case gives the thumb a clear place to begin the gesture. This is a useful example of visual identity meeting use.

The interesting question behind a three-product launch is not what is absent, but whether each object is precise enough.

Promise and verifiable information

The brand uses the terms clean, vegan and cruelty-free. These are company claims. A customer should examine the ingredient list, personal sensitivities and available certification. First Base lists silicone, vitamin E, calendula extract and a filter also used in sun protection. That does not make it a dermatological treatment, and it does not replace a separate sunscreen applied in an adequate amount.

Lip Coat lists kaolin, castor seed oil and waxes. The brand connects them to reduced shine, cushion and comfort. What can be verified is their presence on the list. Texture, wear and colour will vary from one person to another, so we do not present brand language as independent test results.

What does the launch mean in Europe?

Beauty Directory reported European availability through Dover Street Parfums Market in Paris, alongside launches in the United States and Australia. The official site showed dollar prices of $44, $34 and $36 for the three products. These are not confirmed Hungarian retail prices. Shipping, taxes and exchange rates may change the final amount.

Shade photographs should always be treated cautiously across different screens. With a tinted cream, texture, undertone and buildability matter more than the shade's name. OMMAGE is interesting because it builds a relationship between product, hand and object. Over time, however, formula performance and the accuracy of its shade range, rather than packaging alone, will decide whether customers return.

The returning customer's decision will now be the real test.
