GIHON opens its Rise with the sun presentation at 6 pm on October 22 at editory, Déri Miksa Street 6 in Budapest. The label describes the work as the third chapter of its Autumn Winter 2026/27 collection. This is not a conventional runway show. Visitors can explore the clothes and make collages from campaign images, while a pop-up sale follows from noon to 6 pm the next day.

A presentation as an open studio

The format matters. A small Budapest label rarely has the complete infrastructure of a major fashion week, but it can still create a clear sequence. The first evening introduces the collection's image and thinking, while collage making treats the visitor as more than a passive guest. The second day shifts attention towards fitting, physical proximity and the purchase decision.

GIHON's own profile says the brand searches for new systems and unusual directions in clothing through experiments with form. Seeing the garments in person is the way to test that claim. Look at how the shoulder meets the sleeve, how layers sit together, how closures work, how cleanly edges are finished and how the silhouette changes in motion. The advantage of a good independent presentation is that design intent and object remain close to each other.

A community event adds real value when it helps visitors understand cut, material and use.

Two days with two different jobs

The presentation and open collage session run from 6 to 9 pm on Thursday without advance registration. The GIHON Catch pop-up follows from noon to 6 pm on Friday. The two time slots can also reach different audiences. The evening centres on narrative and encounter, while the daytime sale leaves more room for fitting and a slower decision.

At the pop-up, useful questions concern fibre content, care, place of production and repair. These are not polite extras. The value of an independent label depends partly on whether visitors receive precise answers beyond the label. If a shape can be worn in several ways, it should be tested while moving. If a surface is delicate, the cleaning method belongs in the purchase decision.

What this means for Budapest

The Déri Miksa Street area has hosted a growing number of small cultural and design programmes. GIHON's event shows that Budapest fashion is not limited to large shows. Personal contact, a visible creative process and direct sales can form a model in which a brand offers more than products and makes its visual language understandable.

The point of the evening is not whether an independent label can imitate fashion week spectacle. The more interesting question is whether it can begin a conversation about clothing that continues in the fitting room on Friday.
