Applications for the AW27 season of Fashion Week Hungary close at 11.59 pm Budapest time on 26 October. According to the official call, the full fashion week runs in Budapest from 23 to 29 November 2026, while the runway programme and Fashion Hub take place on 28 and 29 November. With the deadline approaching, the task is not to invent a new collection but to assemble evidence of readiness.

This is house-branded guidance. The application fee is HUF 9,900 plus VAT and each brand may submit once. The organiser says decisions may be communicated from 26 October and participation must be confirmed by 6 November. Press and buyer accreditation remains open until 15 November.

1. Choose the right format first

The application page lists five presentation routes. Runway and Signature cost HUF 199,000 plus VAT, New Wave Solo costs HUF 99,000 plus VAT and Collective costs HUF 39,000 plus VAT. Off-site participation carries no event participation fee, although the brand remains responsible for its external production and costs.

The choice should not be treated as a prestige contest. The right format fits the collection size, stock, team and next business objective. A runway makes sense when the label can build a coherent sequence of looks and handle press, buyer and customer interest afterwards. A smaller presentation can be stronger if it produces a clearer story and realistic follow-up.

2. Add production evidence to the creative idea

Fashion Week Hungary assesses creative direction, production capacity, market readiness and responsible practice. A mood board alone is not enough. The application should show how many pieces can be finished on time, which materials are secured, who manages manufacturing and how quality will be checked.

The Business of Fashion has argued that wholesale growth for emerging labels is sustainable only when cash flow, production and delivery can support it. Applicants should therefore show not only the most dramatic piece but also how an order becomes a good product delivered on time.

A strong application proves not only that an idea exists but that it can be realised.

3. Build a clear private presentation link

The application requires a private editable link. Test it on another device and in a signed-out browser. It should not ask the reviewer for inaccessible permissions or expire before evaluation.

Open with a concise brand profile, a clear collection concept and contact details. Follow with full-length images, details, fabric information, available sizes and intended price position. The CFDA guide to virtual selling highlights high-resolution assets, line sheets and accurate product and order information. The same elements demonstrate readiness in an application.

4. Make responsible practice measurable

Responsible practice is not an adjective. If a label refers to local production, deadstock, repair or reduced inventory risk, it should explain the process. Where does manufacturing happen? What share of material already exists? Who performs repairs? For how long can alterations or replacement parts be offered?

A measurable claim does not need to promise a vast impact. A narrow and verifiable statement is more credible than a broad sustainability slogan, and it lets reviewers distinguish practice from communication.

5. Plan the day after 29 November

The value of participation does not end on the runway or at a Hub stand. Before submitting, decide how press will receive images, where a buyer will find prices and lead times, how customers will order and who will answer enquiries. The week from 23 to 29 November works for the brand only if its sales and communication processes continue afterwards.

Before pressing submit, check four things once more: access to the private link, budget, production schedule and every date. The correct dates are 23 to 29 November for the full Fashion Week Hungary programme, with the runway and Fashion Hub on 28 and 29 November. Accurate timing is not a small detail. It is the foundation of the production plan.
